Who we are

The Minnesota Malting F.O.O.L.S. Chapter of the Fraternal Order Of Leatherheads Society was formed in March 2014. We are located in the counties of Scott and Carver, southwest of the Twin Cities. A group of local firefighters started our local chapter because of our dedication, commitment and belief of carrying on the traditions of the fire service, to further enrich training and improve communications amongst area departments and to continue to provide paramount educational opportunities.

The Minnesota Malting F.O.O.L.S. strongly believes in remembering our fallen brothers and sisters, protecting each other, doing the right thing, and going home safely after each and every emergency call through increased training and education. We truly believe in the Mission Statement of the International Fraternal Order of Leatherheads Society:

The F.O.O.L.S. exemplify the true meaning of the Brotherhood by providing training opportunities to Brother and Sister Firefighters worldwide. We organize benefits to assist not only a firefighter and their families in need, but our communities as well. The F.O.O.L.S. exist to strengthen the Brotherhood of our chosen profession and fuel the flame of passion we have for our calling.

If you honestly believe in the "Brotherhood", take a look at our mission statement and what F.O.O.L.S. is all about. If you would like to become a Minnesota Malting F.O.O.L.S. member, visit our membership page for more information.

We hold quarterly meetings, where training sessions are conducted along with our general business meeting. We ask that all members attend every meeting and individual memberships will be reviewed annually.
